Different Hairstyles for Teens

As we all know, teens these days want to show off the latest and greatest fashion styles and trends.  A lot of this inspiration is set by celebrities.  To teenagers, it’s their main priority to impress people and have the best of the best of everything.  This is the time in their lives where appearance will mean everything.

Even though you’re baby is growing up, there are still a few styles that look too grown or too old.  The main things you will want to focus in on is the shape of the face and the features.  Keep in mind that you won’t be able to have every style that comes out.  Although I’m sure your beautician can whip up anything, it may not look right or suite you like you thought it would.

If you have short hair and would like a style that requires longer hair, extensions are available.  Extensions are synthetic or human hair pieces that you are able to glue or sew in your hair.  For a more natural look, you will need to match the extension hair color with your own.  If you are looking to stand out and let your personality speak through your hairstyle and hair color, there are various colors that extensions are available in.  This also works if you have long hair.  If you would like to have shorter hair, but have long hair, you can still sew extensions in your hair.  All you have to do is pick what color hair extensions you want and have your beautician to do the rest.  The extensions can be cut to whatever style you desire without cutting your own hair.  This is a good ideal for those who would like to sport a short hairstyle for a while, but don’t want anything permanent.

Now there’s also the event that’s taking place to consider.  A hairstyle can mean a lot when going to the prom or social gathering.  You will want to have the appropriate hairstyle.  You don’t want to stand out in a bad way.  The prom is something you’ll want to remember forever and I’m sure they’ll be a lot of pictures to be remembered by, so make sure that your hairstyle is elegant or classy and matches your dress.  As for the boys, although spiked hair is very popular these days, you wouldn’t want to go to the prom with that hairstyle.  You want to go for a more classic, slicked back style for this special night.  As for the ladies, you will want to have an up-do, or classic full curls to one side or curls that frame your face.  Try to stay away from different colors.  Loud colors such as pink, purple, blue, etc.  The odd colors are what you want to avoid.  Highlights are fine.

At this point and time in your life, your hair means more than everything to you.  Take care of your hair by sleeping with a cap on your head at night and brushing and combing it at least once every day.
